My Story
I picked up a guitar at age seven and never put it down. Growing up in Millville, New Jersey, I spent my formative years studying under private instructors — seven years of formal lessons combined with two years of dedicated music theory study in high school, and decades of self-directed learning that honestly never stopped.
That foundation took me further than I ever imagined. In 1990 I was recruited to join thrash metal legends Overkill, replacing departing guitarist Bobby Gustafson alongside Rob Cannavino. Over the next five years I toured internationally and recorded four albums — Horrorscope, I Hear Black, W.F.O., and the live record Wrecking Your Neck — appeared on MTV, and performed for audiences worldwide.
After leaving Overkill in 1995, my relationship with music only deepened. I expanded into engineering, production, and guitar restoration — building a working knowledge of the instrument that goes far beyond playing.
For the past 16 years I've channeled that lifetime of experience into teaching. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time, pushing through a plateau, dialing in your live rig, or learning your way around a DAW — I meet you exactly where you are.
What you get with me isn't a curriculum. It's four decades of real experience, focused entirely on you.
